About Kristina Allen
I’m Kristina, a dog photographer based in Birmingham who loves capturing your best friends on my camera and turning them into unique pieces of wall art for you to hang on your walls.
Dogs in the studio or a woodland enviroment, there’s nothing that cannot be paired with my sharp eye for detail to result in a one-of-a-kind photo.

Where it began…
It all started in the infamous lockdown of 2020 when I picked up my old camera and started photographing our two family Labradors (Mojo and Mabel) during our daily walks.
Since then, I have been to train in professional photography at Spèos International Photography School and for the last four years have photographed many four-legged friends, capturing wonderful memories for their owners. Will yours be next?
Meet the family…
When I’m not photographing Birmingham’s best dogs, you’ll probably find me out in the woods walking with my dogs, or spending time with my family and friends.
My family have two labradors (or labradorables, as I like to call them), Mojo and Mabel…

Mojo came to us first. She was my main focus in lockdown, and quite honestly I couldn’t have got through it without her. She kept me going, every single day she got me out of the house on a walk and together we spent so many hours in the woods with my camera…
Mabel joined us a year later. Mojo is technically Mabel’s Auntie, and boy, can you tell! They bonded straight away and cannot be without each other. Whilst they are both very different personality-wise, they come as a pair, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

What I’ve Done

I was professionally trained at Speos International Photography School, where I achieved my diploma in professional photography and business. Here I was trained in all the skills and techniques within professional photography, including: photo reportage, studio photography, fashion photography, corporate photography, art direction, image management and publication.

As well as dog photography, I also work in a few other areas of the photography space such as; commercial photography, events photography and very occasionally I photograph theatre productions for press publication on opening nights. Earlier this year I had the privilege of being the photographer for the opening night of the production Our Mother. My pictures were published in The Guardian’s online site which you can take a look at by clicking here.
They were also published on Salon Music, and were published in print which was very cool!

I’ve worked with many private clients over the years, but also businesses. Most recently I had the pleasure of photographing the dog grooming shop Hot Dogs London, capturing images for their branding and marketing. You can check out some of these images by clicking here.

My Mission
For me, there’s nothing like a printed picture. In the digital age we all live in, photos sit on our devices for years getting lost in the abyss of our phones and hard drives.
My aim with my photography is to create stunning images that simply can’t be left forgotten. Will they be Instagram worthy? Absolutely! But my mission? To create bespoke pieces of artwork that hang on your walls for years to come. Your special pet not only has a special place in your heart, but deserves a special place on your walls too.
